Quote: "Ukraine's defence forces carry on with active defence tactics. Under challenging conditions against a numerically superior enemy, our units are repelling attacks in most areas and continuing search-and-destroy operations in designated zones, particularly near Kupiansk and Siversk.

The enemy is currently most active on the Pokrovsk front. Around 40% of all fighting took place there today. The enemy continues to suffer heavy losses in this area."

Details: Syrskyi has also reported that the Russians have increased their activity in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, using the weather – thick fog – to infiltrate Ukrainian positions.

Quote: "The situation has significantly worsened on the Oleksandrivka and Huliaipole fronts, where the enemy, taking advantage of its numerical superiority in manpower and equipment, has advanced and captured three settlements during heavy fighting.

The Pivden [South] grouping of troops is engaged in exhausting battles for Rivnopillia and Yablukove. Measures are being taken to provide support. Combined fire has inflicted significant losses on the aggressor."

Details: Syrskyi added that in the operational zone of the Pivden grouping of troops, the Russians have lost around 800 soldiers killed and wounded and over a hundred pieces of various military equipment in the past three days.

Background: On 11 November, the Defence Forces of Ukraine's South reported a withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from positions near five settlements in Zaporizhzhia Oblast in order to preserve personnel following intensified Russian assault operations and increased fire pressure.
