Six people killed and 35 injured in Russian strike on Kyiv – photos

Six people have been killed and another 35 have sustained injuries in a Russian combined strike on the city of Kyiv on the night of 13-14 November.

Update: Around noon, Tymur Tkachenko, Head of Kyiv City Military Administration, said that emergency crews have recovered another body from the rubble, bringing the death toll from the Russian strike to six. A further 35 people have been injured.

Details: The number of those injured in the strike has also risen to 26, including two children aged 7 and 10.


Kyiv Prosecutor's Office added that a 10-year-old boy injured in the attack has been taken to a children's hospital.

Twenty-seven residential buildings were damaged in the Desnianskyi, Dniprovskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Podilskyi, Solomianskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts.

Update: Oleksandr Khorunzhyi, spokesperson for the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, reported on the 24/7 national joint newscast that four people had been killed in the capital's Desnianskyi district.
"As of now, we have information that four people have been killed in Kyiv and over 27 injured. A Shahed drone hit a building in the Desnianskyi district. It essentially pierced through part of the building. It was at this location that people died. Search and rescue operations are currently ongoing. One person has been pulled out [from under the rubble]," he added.
Background: Russian forces launched a large-scale combined attack on the city of Kyiv on the night of 13-14 November, using various types of missiles and drones. It was initially reported that one person had been killed and 24 injured, including a pregnant woman and a child.
