Combat situation on Vovchansk front remains highly tense
The situation on the Vovchansk front in Kharkiv Oblast remains difficult because the city is largely destroyed, making it impossible to establish positions.
Source: Lieutenant Colonel Viktor Trehubov, the head of communications for the Joint Forces grouping, speaking on national joint 24/7 newscast
Quote: "The situation on the Vovchansk front is very tense. To my mind, it is likely the hardest front for us right now. The Russians are trying to actively advance there, including near the city, in the area of Synelnykove. Given the city's extreme devastation and the difficulties in establishing fighting positions, the situation is indeed severe, but our guys are holding on."
Details: Trehubov said that tension has also persisted on the Velykyi Burluk front in Kharkiv Oblast, where Russian forces expanded the area under their control a few days ago but have failed to advance further.
He added that Russian troops are also trying to widen their bridgehead near the city of Lyman.
