Defence Intelligence unit targets high-value Russian air defence systems in Donbas – video

Defence Intelligence of Ukraine has reported that operatives from the Prymary ("Ghosts") special unit have struck several Russian air defence assets in Ukraine's east over the past two weeks.

Details: The high-value Russian systems destroyed include:

  • a Tor-M1 anti-aircraft missile system;
  • a 55K6 command post within an S-400 air defence system;
  • a 9S18M1-3 radar within a Buk-M3 system.

Ukrainian intelligence also released footage showing Russian air defence equipment burning in Donbas after the Prymary unit completed their mission.

Background:

  • On the night of 1-2 November 2025, fighters from the Department of Active Operations of Defence Intelligence of Ukraine targeted another set of high-value Russian air defence assets in temporarily occupied Crimea.
  • A strike on the command post of an S-400 Triumf air defence battalion deployed at a combat position destroyed a Russian 92N6E multifunctional radar and the autonomous power supply systems.
  • An AORL-1AS airfield surveillance radar and a P-18 Terek radar belonging to the Russian occupation forces were also successfully destroyed.
