Russians carry out large-scale drone attack on Kharkiv: four killed, 13 injured

The city of Kharkiv came under a large-scale Russian drone attack on the evening of Sunday 23 November, killing 4 people and injuring another 13.

Details: At around 21:30, Syniehubov reported that Kharkiv was under attack by Russian UAVs, with a series of explosions heard across the city.

He later added that a Russian drone strike had been recorded in Kharkiv's Saltivskyi district.

Early reports indicated that four people had been killed and at least 13 injured, including two children.

Syniehubov initially reported that two people had sustained injuries. He said that a fire had broken out in Kharkiv's Shevchenkivskyi district as a result of Russian drone strikes.

Meanwhile, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported that a house had been hit.

"Early reports, which require confirmation, show that one person has been killed in the Shevchenkivskyi district following a strike by an enemy Shahed on a house. People have also been injured as a result of this attack on Kharkiv," Terekhov wrote. Syniehubov later confirmed the fatality.

At 22:33, Syniehubov reported that one person had been killed and five injured in the Russian attack on Kharkiv.

He later updated the figures and said that two people had been killed and eight injured, including a 12-year-old child.

At 23:09, Terekhov said that three people had been killed in the evening attack on Kharkiv.

"Updated reports from the Situation Centre indicate that there were 15 strikes across 6 locations in the city," he added.

Terekhov later told Suspilne that 15 people had already sought medical assistance, and three had been killed.

He said that Kharkiv's energy infrastructure and district heating network had been seriously damaged as a result of the large-scale Russian drone attack. A transformer substation has been damaged and three residential buildings destroyed.

At 00:34, Syniehubov reported that the death toll from the attack had risen as a 69-year-old woman had been killed.
