Self-proclaimed Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko believes Ukraine will ultimately agree to the "peace deal" proposed by the United States.

Quote: "Let me reiterate: we support your [Russia's] efforts to reach a peace deal with Ukraine. As I said yesterday, if the Americans conduct themselves as genuine diplomats and lawyers, this peace plan will be finalised, as the main points have already been agreed upon

Now, as they say, the ball is in Ukraine's court. Given the current situation on the front lines, I believe Ukraine will have to agree to this peace plan; otherwise, it risks losing its statehood entirely

We really hope this happens. Of course, some forces in Europe, as we see it, need to stop their confrontation."

Details: Lukashenko said he spoke with Russian leader Vladimir Putin about the peace plan proposed by US President Donald Trump's team and described the American version as "workable".

Quote: "The plan is workable. And Vladimir Vladimirovich [Putin – ed.] acknowledges that it is a good basis for negotiations."

More details: Meanwhile, Lukashenko believes that the plan had been drafted in haste. "It has to be laid out plain and simple. Everything must be clearly set out down to the metre, the kilometre and every little detail."

Background: On 26 November, Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov stated that Russia will not make concessions in the war, although it supports Trump's peace efforts.
