Ukraine has managed to bring back 1,859 children abducted by Russia – Ukraine's First Lady

First Lady Olena Zelenska has announced during a meeting in Paris that Ukraine has managed to return 1,859 children who were abducted by Russia since the beginning of the full-scale war.

Quote from the Office of the President: "First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska, First Lady of France Brigitte Macron, and Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot took part in a meeting held within the framework of the President of Ukraine's initiative, Bring Kids Back UA."
Details: Around 150 participants attended the meeting, including representatives of French political circles, the diplomatic corps, international organisations, business and philanthropic communities, mayors, regional leaders and cultural figures.
Zelenska emphasised that Ukraine has so far managed to bring home 1,859 children.
Quote from Zelenska: "But support is needed even after rescue. After a child physically returns home, psychological and social return is still required. For this purpose, we are developing mental health support programs in Ukraine, and the government has introduced special assistance for every returned child."
Background: Bring Kids Back UA and Save Ukraine reported in early November that a large group of children and teenagers had been rescued from Russian occupation.
