Russia attacks Ukraine with 62 drones overnight: 20 hits recorded

Russian forces attacked Ukraine on the night of 1-2 December with 62 strike UAVs (Shahed, Gerbera and other types), more than 35 of which were Shahed drones.

Details: Early reports indicate that as of 08:30, Ukrainian air defence shot down or jammed 39 Russian Shahed, Gerbera and other types of UAVs over Ukraine's north, south and east.

A total of 20 UAV strikes were recorded at eight locations.

The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups of the defence forces.

The attack is ongoing, with several Russian UAVs still in Ukrainian airspace.
