A Russian An-22 military transport aircraft has crashed in Russia's Ivanovskaya Oblast.

Details: According to TASS, the An-22 aircraft crashed in Ivanovo Oblast, and there were seven people on board.

According to initial reports obtained by Fontanka.ru, the aircraft belongs to Russia's Ministry of Defence.

Telegram channel Baza reported that the aircraft crashed in the Furmanovskiy district of the oblast.

Later, TASS, citing emergency services, reported that the aircraft was conducting a scheduled flight after repairs and crashed near the Uvodskiy Reservoir. Debris of the An-22 was found in the water.
