Russia attacked Ukraine with 69 drones on the night of 15-16 December. Ukrainian air defence shot down 57 UAVs, while strikes were recorded at seven locations.

Details: The Russians launched attack UAVs, including Shahed, Gerbera and other types of drones, from the Russian cities of Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Millerovo, as well as Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea.

According to the Air Force, around 40 of the drones were Shahed drones.

The air attack was repelled by Ukrainian aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of the defence forces.

Early reports indicate that as of 09:00, air defence forces had shot down or suppressed 57 Russian UAVs of various types in Ukraine's south and east.

Strikes from 10 attack UAVs were recorded at seven locations.
