Russia attacks Ukraine with 51 drones and 3 Iskander missiles overnight; defence forces down 31 drones

Russian forces attacked Ukraine with three Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 51 attack drones on the night of 19-20 December.

Quote: "On the night of 20 December (from 19:00 on 19 December), the enemy launched three Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, as well as 51 attack UAVs of the Shahed and Gerbera types and other models of drone from the directions of Oryol, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Shatalovo in the Russian Federation. Around 30 of them were Shahed drones.

The air attack was repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces."

Details: Early reports indicate that as of 09:00, air defence forces shot down or jammed 31 Russian Shahed, Gerbera and other types of drones over Ukraine's north, south and east.

Hits by ballistic missiles and 20 attack drones were recorded at 15 locations.
