Six people, including two children, were injured in Zhytomyr Oblast as a result of a Russian attack on the early morning of 22-23 December.

Quote: "Zhytomyr Oblast has been under hostile air attacks for the second day in a row. Early reports indicate that several strikes or the fall of debris from cruise missiles and kamikaze drones were recorded across the oblast overnight."

Details: The attack damaged residential buildings, private civilian businesses and a shop. Six people were reported injured, including two children. One child and one adult were taken to hospital and are receiving medical care at healthcare facilities in the region.

According to Bunechko, the air attack is ongoing. Air defence units, first responders and medics are operating in the region. Residents have been urged to remain in shelters until the all-clear is given.

Background: On the early morning of 23 December, a large-scale air-raid warning was issued across Ukraine. Russian forces launched a combined attack using cruise missiles and strike drones. Air defence activity was reported in the city of Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast, as well as in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast.
