Because of this, the Russians continue to be active in western Pokrovsk. Their objective is unchanged: to reach the approaches to Hryshyne. However, all Russian attacks there are being blocked by Ukrainian forces.

The situation remains difficult in Myrnohrad. The defence forces are holding their designated positions. Units from the Air Assault Forces and the marines are involved in the defence of the city.

The defence forces are working to reinforce the group in order to counter Russian pressure from the northeastern and southern directions. This task is made possible, among other things, by the Ukrainian forces' control of the corridor near the settlements of Svitle and Rivne.

Unable to establish control over the city, Russian forces are resorting to the use of propaganda stunts on the southern outskirts of Myrnohrad. The primary target audience for such actions is Russia's domestic audience, which is in a permanent state of pre-New Year intoxication.

Isolated cases of covert Russian infiltration into central districts of the city have been recorded. Ukrainian defence forces are working to block and wipe out the intruders.
