US President Donald Trump has said he has no current plans to visit Ukraine, but does not rule out such a trip if it helps achieve a peace agreement.

Details: Trump responded to a journalist's question about a possible visit to Ukraine and, without waiting for the question to finish, said: "I'd have no problem with doing it."

He stressed, however, that there is currently neither an agreement nor, in his view, a clear need for such a visit. "I don't anticipate it. I would like to get the deal done and not necessarily have to go," Trump said.

Meanwhile, he acknowledged that he had received an invitation from the Ukrainian side "to go and speak to their parliament". "I don't know if that would help. I think it would probably help," he added. President Zelenskyy intervened to confirm the invitation, saying that Ukraine is always happy to see him.

To sum up, Trump neither confirmed nor ruled out a visit.

Quote from Trump: "I'm not sure that it would be really necessary, but if it would help save 25,000 lives a month or whatever it may be, I would certainly be willing to do that."
