President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that a meeting with the Russians could ultimately also take place following meetings at various levels with European and US partners.

Details: Zelenskyy said that a meeting at adviser level is planned in the coming days. "Rustem Umierov [Secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defence Council] has already been in touch with all the American and European advisers. We want such a meeting, and I think we will do everything to ensure that it finally takes place in Ukraine," he said.

Zelenskyy said that once advisers have prepared all the necessary documents, there will first be a meeting at the level of European leaders together with Ukraine in an expanded format. He also mentioned a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing.

"Yes, that meeting will also take place. I began discussing it immediately after my meeting with President Trump. I have already been in contact with President Macron and several other partners and will continue these consultations. There will be such a meeting," Zelenskyy said.

After that meeting, he believes that documents will be agreed at the level of all leaders, followed by preparations for a meeting with President Trump and European leaders.

"We are all very serious about ensuring that the meetings I have mentioned take place in January. And after that, if everything moves forward step by step, I think there will then be a meeting in one format or another with the Russians," Zelenskyy said.

"We emphasise once again that we are ready for the appropriate formats we have already discussed," he added.
