Russian attack on Kyiv: medical facility on fire, one person killed

The Russian army attacked Kyiv on the night of 4-5 January, causing fire at a medical facility and killing one person.

Quote from Tkachenko: "We recorded reports of a fire in the Obolonskyi district as a result of an enemy attack."

Updated: At 03:31, Tkachenko reported the evacuation of people from the damaged building.

Quote from Tkachenko: "In the Obolonskyi district, people are being evacuated from the building damaged as a result of the attack."

Details: Tkachenko also reported an injured woman who is "being provided assistance on site."

At 03:46, Tkachenko reported that one person was killed as a result of the Russian attack on Kyiv.

Quote from Tkachenko: "As of now, one person has been killed as a result of the attack.

The attack is ongoing, please stay safe."

Details: Fesyk reported that "as a result of debris fall," a private medical facility was damaged.

At 04:42, Tkachenko reported that the number of injured had increased to two.

Updated: In the morning, the SES reported that a hit was recorded on a four-storey medical facility building in Kyiv's Obolonskyi district, at the second-floor level, which houses an operating inpatient department.

Firefighters stated that the fire had been extinguished.

Quote from SES:"During the inspection of the premises, the body of a person was found.

Twenty-five people were evacuated.

One woman was injured; she was provided assistance on site."

Background: It was previously reported that air defence forces were operating against Russian targets in Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast.
