Quote: "We spoke in very concrete terms today with the American team about monitoring so there are no violations of the peace. America is ready to work on this. This is very important for us. One of the most important components is deterrence. This is the tool that will not allow new Russian aggression."
Details: Zelenskyy said that there had been significant progress with the US negotiating team on drafting documents and announced further meetings with the US President's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner.
He said that he hopes the documents could be signed soon.
Quote: "We value the readiness of the US to support forces that must prevent a repeat of Russian aggression. A US backstop is important to us. These must be guarantees based on legal obligations, including those approved by the US Congress."
