Andriivka in Sumy Oblast remains under Ukrainian control
Ukraine's Kursk group of forces has said that the village of Andriivka in Sumy Oblast remains fully under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, despite Russian attempts to expand the occupied area.

Quote: "Officially and with full responsibility, we can confirm that Andriivka has been and remains fully under the control of [Ukraine's] Kursk group of forces. Its occupation at any point is out of the question."
Details: The Kursk group says Russia is trying to expand the occupied area in Sumy Oblast but has not succeeded.
The Ukrainian military also urged people to rely only on official reports and to follow reliable information hygiene practices.
Background:
- DeepState, a Ukrainian group of military analysts, reported in late December that the Russians had occupied three settlements in the Bakhmut district of Donetsk Oblast and had advanced near Andriivka and in Myrnohrad.
- The analysts updated their data on 7 January, claiming that the Russians had occupied Andriivka in Sumy Oblast.
