Russia attacks Ukraine with 156 strike drones: air defence downs 135 UAVs, hits recorded

Russia attacked with 156 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera and other types on the night of 11-12 January, around 110 of which were Shahed loitering munitions.

Details: Early reports indicate that as of 08:00, air defence had shot down or jammed 135 Russian UAVs of the Shahed, Herbera and other types in the northern, southern, eastern and central parts of the country.

Hits by 16 strike UAVs were recorded at 11 locations, and the fall of downed drones (debris) at 2 locations.

The aerial attack was repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces.

The attack is ongoing, with several Russian UAVs present in the airspace.
