US President Donald Trump has shared an excerpt of correspondence with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron on the Truth Social platform.

Details: The published screenshot shows Macron beginning by stressing a shared position on Syria and Iran before adding: "I do not understand what you are doing on Greenland".

In the message, the French president proposed that G7 countries meet in Paris on 22 January, followed by a joint dinner.
"I can invite the Ukrainians, the Danish, the Syrians and the Russians in the margins," Macron wrote.
