Details: Umierov added that he had met separately with the prime ministers of Norway and Qatar.
Quote: "Separately, a meeting took place with American partners – Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff.
The main topics were economic development, post-war recovery, and security guarantees. We briefed partners on the latest Russian attacks on civilian infrastructure, including the situation in Kyiv, where strikes left millions of people without electricity and heat."
Previously: US President Donald Trump said at the World Economic Forum that he would meet with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Davos.
Background:
- On 20 January, Zelenskyy said that a meeting with the US side in Davos would require concrete results as a precondition.
- He also suggested that he might not travel to Switzerland for the World Economic Forum in Davos due to the critical situation in Ukraine's energy sector.
- Trump previously said he would meet Zelenskyy in Davos if the Ukrainian president was there.
