Ukrainian company reveals its new drone interception control technology

Sky Hunter, a Ukrainian company that has recently raised US$4 million in investment to develop a system to counter Russian Shahed drones, has revealed details of its interception control technology.
Details: The product is a mission management system. It can be integrated with different types of aircraft and connected to radars and sensors, creating a battle picture of the fight against Shahed-type drones in specific areas.

Quote from Sky Hunter CEO Serhii Nazarov: "There is a certain hub where a group is operating. When the operator sees a target, its speed and its location, they decide which interceptor is needed to engage it, based on where it is based and its parameters. The programme automatically launches the required drones and guides them to the target. In the final metres, manual control is switched on and the operator carries out the engagement."

More details: The company said that the system can launch more than one drone to maximise the chance of an engagement or retask it in flight. The operator can also mark an aircraft as "friendly" or "hostile".
The developer also offers a mission recording function. All data collected during an engagement can be replayed step by step, including how the interception unfolded, how each interceptor team reacted, the quality of communications and a range of other parameters.
Sky Hunter said that its team is now working on its own terminal guidance module so the operator does not need to take manual control in the final metres to the target and the system becomes more autonomous. The company is already compiling a dataset to train the system.
Sky Hunter plans to sell the system either to individual military units or to other drone manufacturers that supply comprehensive solutions to units. The company is also targeting the market for protecting critical facilities, which is funded by businesses themselves.
