A new round of trilateral talks between Ukraine, the United States and Russia on a possible end to the war ended in the United Arab Emirates on Saturday 24 January.

Details: Dmytro Lytvyn, an adviser for the Ukrainian president, said that the delegation is expected to brief President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the course of the negotiations.
Background:
- The talks began in the capital of the United Arab Emirates on Friday 23 January and were planned to continue on Saturday.
- Rustem Umierov has said that the discussions were focused on ending the Russo-Ukrainian war and the further logic of the negotiation process.
- Before the talks began, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov had said that Moscow insists on the withdrawal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the Donbas, presenting it as a key condition for negotiations to end the war.
