Ukrainian air defence downs 110 out of 138 Russian drones, hits recorded at 11 locations

Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 138 Shahed, Gerbera and other types of drones on the night of 25-26 January. About 90 of the UAVs were Shahed loitering munitions.

Details: Early reports indicated that as of 08:00, Ukrainian air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 110 Shahed, Gerbera and other types of drones in the country's north and east.

Hits by 21 UAVs had been recorded at 11 locations and the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) at 1 location.

Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.

The attack is ongoing, as several Russian drones are still in Ukrainian airspace.
