Married couple killed in Russian airstrike on Sloviansk – photos

Russian forces killed two civilians and injured one person in the city of Sloviansk, Donetsk Oblast, on Tuesday.

Details: Russian forces dropped three FAB-250 aerial bombs fitted with a unified gliding and correction module on the populated area of Sloviansk on the morning of 27 January. The munitions hit residential buildings.
A married couple aged 45 and 48 were killed in their home, which was destroyed in the strike. Rescue workers recovered the man's and woman's bodies from the rubble. Their 20-year-old son was also injured. He sustained a blast injury and a traumatic brain injury as well as abrasions.
Five houses were damaged in the settlement.



Prosecutors are documenting the aftermath of the attack on civilians by members of the Russian armed forces. Under the procedural guidance of Sloviansk District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into a war crime (Article 438.2 of Ukraine's Criminal Code).
