"We are anticipating additional aircraft deliveries, as this will significantly strengthen our air capabilities," he said, without providing further details.

Fedorov also said Ukraine is counting on France to supply interceptor missiles for the SAMP/T and Crotale air defence systems as well as long-range weapons.

"I am grateful for the willingness to provide additional French-made missiles in the near future," Fedorov said.

He also thanked France for its principled stance on countering Russia's shadow fleet, which Moscow has used to circumvent Western restrictions on its energy sector imposed since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

"I thanked France for its many years of consistent cooperation and its significant contribution to the development of our air defence and aircraft capabilities. This partnership is already helping to protect Ukraine's skies," he added.
