Air defence responds to Russian drones in Kyiv, debris falls, damage reported – photos

Ukrainian air defences were responding to Russian drones in the city of Kyiv on the night of 27-28 January. Debris from the airborne assets has fallen onto the road and some damage has been reported in the Holosiivskyi district of the capital.

Details: At 01:24, Tkachenko reported that "air defences are responding in Kyiv".
Earlier, the Air Force warned of drones approaching the city from the east.
Update: At 01:33, Tkachenko noted that debris from a drone had fallen onto a road in the Holosiivskyi district.
At 01:45, he reported damage to windows and a fire caused by the attack.
Quote: "Windows of a residential building have been damaged as a result of the fall of debris in the Holosiivskyi district. A fire has broken out on the roof of a non-residential building."
Details: Tkachenko later confirmed that "the roof of a high-rise residential building has been damaged, while reports of a fire on the roof of a non-residential building have not been confirmed".
At 02:40, the all-clear was given in Kyiv.
Update: The State Emergency Service reported that the top section of a 17-storey residential building in Holosiivskyi district had suffered minor damage to the roof and the technical floor walls – the level that houses the building's essential equipment, such as heating, ventilation and electrical systems. Windows on the upper floors were also shattered, and several cars parked nearby were damaged.
