Ukraine may receive first tranche of €90 billion EU loan in early April

The EU expects to transfer the first tranche of support from a €90 billion loan to Ukraine by early April 2026.

Details: Dombrovskis reported on a conversation with Ukrainian Finance Minister Serhii Marchenko and Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov regarding progress on the loan for Ukraine.
"We're working towards approval of a €90bn package for 2026–27, aiming for the first EU disbursement in early April," Dombrovskis said.
Background: On 21 January, the European Parliament approved a proposal for a Council of the EU decision allowing the creation of a Loan for Ukraine worth €90 billion for 2026-2027.
