Details: The operation was carried out by specialised personnel from the UGV company of the Antares Unmanned Systems Battalion on the Pokrovsk front. The Ukrainian military released a video of the recovery, calling it "the world's first evacuation of a UGV by another UGV".
"When a robot broke down during a mission, a decision was made to rescue the equipment using another ground system," the brigade said.
The video shows the evacuation UGV first attempting to push its "brother-in-arms", but eventually towing it instead. The brigade noted that despite a number of critical problems, the operation lasted 15 hours and ended with both robots successfully returning to base.

"The expertise of Rubizh Brigade operators shows that we fight to save every piece of equipment that helps crush the enemy and protect the lives of our soldiers," the military stressed.
Background:
- Ground robots perform a variety of tasks on the battlefield. For example, the Droid TW-7.62 reconnaissance and strike UGV, built on the NUMO platform, recently captured three Russian soldiers.
- Earlier, fighters from the Magura unit, Ukraine's 47th Separate Mechanised Brigade, used a ground robot to evacuate three wounded service members from a position.
