Quote: "An unexpected finding was the relatively small drop in assault activity – only 4% less than in December. However, most soldiers say that January was still relatively less intense than the previous month."

Details: Thirty-three percent of all assaults were concentrated on the Pokrovsk front. The Huliaipole front moved into second place, accounting for 21% of all attacks. They are followed by the Kostiantynivka (12%), Lyman (8%) and Oleksandrivka (8%) fronts.

The Sloviansk front became the most negative outlier: while only 3% of assaults took place there, it accounted for nearly 20% of territorial losses.
