Police bomb disposal experts have neutralised a Russian UAV that landed on a frozen body of water in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast and did not explode.

Details: The ministry reported that the Russian drone fell onto the ice during an overnight attack and did not detonate. Despite this, the UAV remained extremely dangerous.

Water police and bomb disposal experts promptly arrived at the scene. After reaching the drone using specialised vehicles, the law enforcement officers cordoned off the area to ensure public safety.

The police officers removed the UAV's warhead, transported it to a training ground and destroyed it in a controlled explosion.

The ministry did not name the body of water.

Background: On the night of 31 January-1 February, a man and a woman were killed after a Russian UAV strike hit their home in the city of Dnipro. A fire broke out; one house was destroyed and two others were damaged.
