The Air Force reported that around 200 of the drones were Shahed loitering munitions. Russian forces also launched two Kinzhal air-to-surface ballistic missiles and five Kh-59/69 air-to-surface missiles.

The aerial attack is being repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces in the country's north, south, east and centre.

Early reports indicate that by 12:30, Ukrainian air defences had shot down or jammed 297 Russian UAVs. The Russian missiles failed to reach their targets due to active countermeasures by the defence forces. Further information is being gathered.

Strikes by 22 UAVs had been recorded at 14 locations and debris had fallen at two locations.
