Details: Newsmax is one of Trump's favourite channels and one of the key right-wing media outlets in the United States. In 2025, Newsmax announced a partnership with Trump Media and Technology Group, which is developing Trump's social media platform Truth Social.

The launch of Newsmax Ukraine is expected in spring 2026. Forbes reports that the channel will be headed by Liudmyla Nemyria, the wife of Batkivshchyna MP Heorhii Nemyria. Until 2023, she was a presenter on the Ukrlife TV channel and now runs her own YouTube channel.

Newsmax Ukraine will operate as a full-fledged newsroom, producing news, analytical content, and socio-political programmes.

Background: Earlier, the American media outlet The Washington Post laid off more than 300 journalists due to financial losses and shut down its sports desk, city news section, and international newsrooms in Ukraine, Australia, and the Middle East.
