Moldovan PM arrives in Kyiv on official visit

Moldovan Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu has arrived in the Ukrainian capital on the morning of 10 February on an official visit.

Quote: "On behalf of the people of Moldova, I bring a clear message of solidarity. We stand with Ukraine as neighbours and friends, united in our commitment to a just and lasting peace and to our shared EU future."

Details: Munteanu added that he is scheduled to hold talks with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko during his visit to Kyiv.

Background: In autumn 2025, Moldovan President Maia Sandu officially appointed businessman Alexandru Munteanu as prime minister. Prior to that, he had lived in Ukraine for more than 20 years.
