A small, non-combat-capable group of Russian troops remains surrounded in the city of Kupiansk, Kharkiv Oblast.

Quote: "Kupiansk is under Ukrainian control. A small group of Russians (we can say it is now the only one) remains in several high-rise buildings in the city centre. They are alive but incapable of any active actions other than protecting their own lives."

Details: Trehubov added that Ukrainian defence forces have pushed Russian troops from the outskirts of Kupiansk. He said Russian forces are attempting to advance east of the city towards Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi. The spokesperson noted that the Kremlin's propaganda has already claimed that Russian soldiers have captured Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, although in reality, Russian troops have not reached the settlement's administrative boundary.
