Quote from Shmyhal: "We are identifying these facilities and, together with engineers and energy experts from Ukrainian companies and power plants, we are assessing them, taking inventory and analysing equipment, and removing entire blocks, which allows us to make replacements. We have a network of such facilities."
Details: Shmyhal said that last week, the Ukrainian delegation had visited several Eastern European countries and will work with them to implement the plan.
He stressed that the government and the Ministry of Energy are currently focusing on creating a reserve of equipment for rapid recovery after Russian attacks, using all possible options, including attracting funds to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund.
The energy minister also pointed out that producing new equipment is a time-consuming process.
Background:
- Hadja Lahbib, European Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management, arrived in Kyiv and visited the flat of a family that has been without heating for several weeks.
- Earlier, Kyiv received a batch of 323 generators from the European Union.
