US set to conduct Ukraine and Iran talks on the same day – Reuters
Two rounds of diplomatic talks – on Ukraine and on Iran – are scheduled to take place in Geneva on 17 February.

Details: The US delegation is expected to include special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. They are due to meet Iranian representatives on Tuesday 17 February. Omani officials will also attend, acting as mediators in the contacts.
Following that meeting, Witkoff and Kushner are set to take part in trilateral talks with representatives of Russia and Ukraine.
Reuters noted that US President Donald Trump has stepped up pressure on the Iranian authorities after a harsh crackdown on protests in the country. Meanwhile, the US has deployed significant naval forces to the region.
In parallel, Trump is seeking to push Ukraine and Russia towards signing an agreement to end the war.
Background: Dmytro Lytvyn, an advisor to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed to journalists that the next round of negotiations between Ukraine, Russia and the US will take place on 17-18 February in Geneva.
