Details: Zelenskyy received the award, which this year the Munich Security Conference granted to the brave Ukrainian people.
During the award ceremony, he addressed partner country leaders with words of gratitude for supporting Ukraine.
In this list, the Ukrainian president also mentioned the Hungarian prime minister. Zelenskyy called him "Viktor", saying that he motivates everyone in Europe to become better so as not to become like him.
Quote: "And I even want to thank Viktor. You all know who I mean because in his own way he pushes all of us to be better. Better, so that we are never like him, someone who seems to have forgotten the word 'shame'."
Background:
- Earlier, speaking in Munich, Zelenskyy stated that Orbán "grows his belly" and does not care about security challenges for Europe, recalling Soviet tanks in Budapest.
- Orbán responded to Zelenskyy's remarks, stating that Ukraine cannot become an EU member.
