Sumy under Russian attack: fire rages, six people injured

Six people have been injured in the city of Sumy in a Russian drone attack that has been ongoing since the morning of 17 February.

Details: Hryhorov said women aged 20 and 61 and men aged 60 and 76 were injured when the city centre was struck, but none are in a serious condition.
He added that two men aged 45 and 42, who were near one of the strike sites, were also injured and received on-site treatment from medical personnel.
The Russians have been attacking the Sumy hromada since early morning, damaging buildings and cars. Some civilian infrastructure facilities are also reported to have been hit. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]
Background: On the night of 16-17 February, one person was killed and six were injured, including two children, after Russian forces used three drones to strike residential buildings in Sumy Oblast.
