Russian forces have begun using Shahed loitering munitions to carry first-person view (FPV) drones.

Source: Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov, a technology adviser to Ukraine's defence minister and a military radio technology expert

Quote: "Today [17 February – ed.] I have got the first video confirmation of an FPV being carried by a Shahed. I already know that a Shahed carries two FPVs."

Details: Beskrestnov had previously drawn attention to the appearance of factory mounts for transporting FPV drones on Molniya and Gerbera-type loitering munitions, describing it as "a bad sign".

He said the new tactic should be taken into account by air defence units and anti-aircraft drone crews due to increased risks during interceptions.

Background: Earlier, Beskrestnov released a video confirming the use of Russian Gerbera FPV drone carriers.
