Details: The strike hit a mobile Russian air defence system used to cover units and key facilities from aircraft, cruise missiles and drones.
The Osa is a short-range mobile air defence system equipped with six anti-aircraft missiles.
The military says the system, one of the most widespread air defence assets in Russian forces, is capable of engaging airborne threats at ranges of up to 10 km and altitudes of up to 5 km.
Thermal imaging footage released by the brigade shows the moment a Russian mobile Osa anti-aircraft missile system was detected and struck while moving along a tree line. Russian personnel can also be seen near the system at the time of impact.
The Unmanned Systems Forces noted that the destruction of such systems consistently reduces Russian air defence capabilities and creates conditions for further operations by Ukraine's defence forces.
Background: Earlier, fighters from the Scythian Griffins unit, Ukraine's 423rd Separate Battalion of the Unmanned System Forces, struck a Russian Strela-10 anti-aircraft missile system.
