Drone lands in Moldova, authorities believe it was a Shahed-type UAV

A drone has landed in a field near the village of Stari Mihăileni in Moldova's Rîșcani district.

Details: A report indicating that a small unmanned aerial vehicle had landed outside the settlement of Stari Mihaileni was received at 17:26.

Dry vegetation caught fire as a result of the crash. No injuries were reported.

Background:

• Earlier the same day, Moldova's Ministry of Defence said, citing early reports, that a Shahed-type drone had entered the country's territory on 8 September.
• The violation of the country's airspace occurred at around 16:20 local time.
