Two police officers killed during evacuation operation as Russian drone strikes their vehicle

Two police officers from the White Angels evacuation unit have been killed after a Russian drone struck their vehicle.

Details: On 20 February, police officers Yuliia Keleberda and Yevhen Kalhan were killed while performing their duties in the Kupiansk district. Another officer sustained injuries.
The officers from the White Angels unit had set out to evacuate civilians when their reinforced police vehicle was struck by a Russian Lancet-type UAV near the village of Serednii Burluk. Two officers sustained fatal injuries and were instantly killed.

The leadership and personnel of the National Police expressed deep and sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased.
Yuliia and Yevhen had served in the White Angels unit since its creation. They carried out numerous missions to the most dangerous settlements, rescuing dozens of families and evacuating children, elderly people and persons with disabilities. They repeatedly risked their lives to save others.
Yuliia, 23, is survived by her parents. Yevhen, 39, is survived by his wife, mother, 16-year-old son and 7-year-old daughter.
