Management of Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant to be discussed at next meeting with Russia and US – UP

The parties involved in the next trilateral meeting between Ukraine, the United States and Russia are planning to discuss the issue of management of the occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.

Details: According to an Ukrainska Pravda source in diplomatic circles, the discussion is likely to touch on the sensitive issue of who should manage the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant and in what format.

After discussion of these issues at the talks, the need for a meeting at leaders' level will be felt even more acutely.

Background:

Last week it became known that Zelenskyy had instructed his team at the talks to organise a future meeting at leaders' level in Geneva.
Zelenskyy said the best way to achieve a breakthrough on the issue of territory in talks is a face-to-face meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
On 20 February, Zelenskyy reported an agreement on a new round of trilateral talks on ending the war in Ukraine within the next 10 days.
