Explosion occurs at police station in Dnipro – photos

An explosion occurred at the Amur-Nyzhnodniprovskyi police station in the city of Dnipro on the evening of 23 February. Early reports indicate that no one was injured.

Details: Reports indicate that the explosion occurred inside the building at around 20:30. The premises sustained damage.

There were no casualties.
Update: The National Police later said they were establishing the circumstances of the explosion in the Amur-Nyzhnodniprovskyi district.
Quote from the National Police: "No one was injured in the incident. The blast wave damaged the building's windows, furniture and computer equipment. A car parked near the building was also damaged.
Bomb disposal experts, forensic experts and an investigative team from Police Station No. 1 of Dnipropetrovsk Police District No. 2 are working at the scene. All circumstances of the incident are being established."

Background:
- On 23 February, an explosion occurred at the site of a disused petrol station in Mykolaiv.
- At the moment of the blast, patrol officers had arrived for a shift change and parked their service vehicles. Seven police officers were injured, two of them seriously.
- President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he had received initial reports from law enforcement regarding the explosion in Mykolaiv. According to Zelenskyy, investigators are establishing all the circumstances of the incident, including examining the possibility of a terrorist attack.
- On the night of 21-22 February, police responded to a call in central Lviv, after which an explosion occurred.
- When another police unit arrived at the scene, a second explosion followed. A 23-year-old policewoman was killed and 25 people were injured.
- The National Police later detained a woman suspected of carrying out the terrorist attack in Lviv.
- President Zelenskyy said the attack in Lviv had been organised by Russia, with the perpetrators recruited via the Telegram social media network. According to intelligence reports, Russia is planning to organise similar attacks in the future.
