Sixteen injured in Kharkiv and district after Russian strikes hit high-rise building and gas pipeline – photos, video

A combined Russian attack has struck a high-rise residential building, damaged a gas pipeline and caused fires in the city of Kharkiv, leaving 16 people injured, including children.

Details: In addition, apartment buildings, houses and utility infrastructure were damaged in the Kyivskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts of the city as a result of hits by two ballistic missiles and Shahed drones. Overhead contact line wires were torn down and a gas pipeline was severed.
Terekhov added that a fire had broken out at the scene in the Slobidskyi district.

Information about casualties is being confirmed.
Update as of 05:07: Syniehubov reported that five people had been injured in the Russian attack.
Update as of 05:45: Syniehubov said that 14 people had been injured in the large-scale Russian attack on Kharkiv and the village of Rai-Olenivka.
A 7-year-old boy is among those injured.
Update: The State Emergency Service in Kharkiv Oblast added in the morning that 16 people had been injured, including two children.
Background:
- Air-raid warnings were issued in Kyiv and several Ukrainian oblasts on the night of 25-26 February due to the threat of Russian drones and ballistic missiles. Explosions were heard in Kyiv, Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia.
- The Russians used a drone to damage a five-storey residential building in the city of Kryvyi Rih, injuring one person.
- The Russians also attacked Zaporizhzhia, damaging a house, a high-rise residential building and two shopping centres.
