Ukrainian air defence downs Tsirkon anti-ship and 4 ballistic missiles, strikes recorded at 32 locations

Russia launched an attack on the night of 25-26 February using two Tsirkon (Zircon) anti-ship missiles, ballistic missiles, air-launched missiles and strike drones. Ukrainian air defence downed 406 out of 459 Russian aerial targets.

Details: The Russians launched:
- 2 Tsirkon (Zircon) anti-ship missiles from the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea
- 11 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles from Russia's Bryansk and Rostov oblasts
- 24 Kh-101 cruise missiles from Russia's Vologda Oblast
- 2 Kh-69 guided air-launched missiles
- 420 Shahed, Gerbera and Italmas strike UAVs as well as other types of drones, launched from the Russian cities of Millerovo, Kursk, Bryansk, Oryol, Shatalovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as Hvardiiske in occupied Crimea.
The Air Force reported that about 280 of them were Shahed attack drones.
The air attack was repelled by Ukrainian aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces.
Early reports show that as of 10:00, air defence had shot down or jammed:
- 2 Tsirkon (Zircon) anti-ship missiles
- 4 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles
- 24 Kh-101 cruise missiles
- 2 Kh-69 guided air-launched missiles
- 374 drones of various types.
Five ballistic missiles and 46 strike UAVs hit targets at 32 locations. Debris from downed targets fell at 15 locations.
Information regarding several of the missiles is being confirmed.
