Details: Ukrspecsystems said production at the site will begin with the large-scale assembly of PD-2 and Shark systems. Under cooperation between Ukraine and its British partners, the products manufactured there will be supplied to the Ukrainian military.
"So, we view this step in two dimensions. First, as a guarantee of continuity for our supply chain. Second, as sad as it may sound, as another element in diversifying production, as the enemy continues to carry out airstrikes on Ukrainian territory," the company said.
The Ukrainian drone manufacturer also quoted its UK Managing Director, Rory Chamberlain, who stressed the importance of the facility.
Quote from Chamberlain: "Four years after the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, this plant delivers what matters: reliable supply, dependable resources and sustained support for Ukraine. By establishing production in the United Kingdom, Ukrspecsystems is strengthening the resilience of the UK's defence industrial base and building a proven supply chain. This ensures that the drones relied upon by the Armed Forces of Ukraine can be manufactured and scaled without disruption."
