Trump says US will bomb Iran until terrorist regime is destroyed
US President Donald Trump has said US forces will continue bombing Iran until the current terrorist regime is completely destroyed.

Quote: "I can go long and take over the whole thing, or end it in two or three days and tell the Iranians: 'See you again in a few years if you start rebuilding [your nuclear and missile programmes]'. In any case, it will take them several years to recover from this attack."
Details: Trump said the main reasons for the military operation were the failure of negotiations conducted by his special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, as well as Iran's conduct over recent decades.
The US president said the Iranian side repeatedly moved close to reaching a deal and then backed away.
"I understood from that that they don't really want a deal," he noted.
A second reason cited was Iran's behaviour over the past decades. Trump said he had asked his team to compile a list of all Iran-linked attacks over the past 25 years and found that "every month they did something bad, blew something up or killed someone".
The US president also stated that Iran had begun restoring nuclear facilities destroyed during the previous 12-day war in June 2025. He stressed that had he not struck Iran's nuclear programme in the summer, Tehran might already have obtained nuclear weapons, making the current attack impossible.
The current plan envisages large-scale bombardment of Iran for at least five days. However, the timeline may change depending on developments on the ground.
