Qatar's Ministry of Defence reported that it had "successfully intercepted" the second wave of the attack, stating that all Iranian missiles were intercepted before entering the country's airspace.

The Foreign Ministry described Iran's actions as "reckless" and a violation of the country's sovereignty.

Quote: "Ibrahim Sultan Al-Hashemi, the head of public relations at the Foreign Ministry, said the attack was inconsistent with the principles of 'good neighbourliness', and that Qatar reserved the right to respond 'in accordance with international law'."

Background:

  • On 28 February, the US and Israel launched a military campaign aimed at destroying Iran's terrorist regime.
  • Reports indicate that US armed forces carried out nearly 900 strikes on targets in Iran within the first 12 hours of the operation.
  • The US military command stated that the goal is to completely strip Iran of its ability to attack neighbouring countries with missiles, drones or naval forces.
